What can be more cheery than cherry blossoms?  Forage in the backyard for twigs, crumple some tissue paper, add glue and a vase and voila – festive art for display!

We did this project for my kindergartener’s class to celebrate Holi (she is half Indian, half caucasian) and it was a hit! The kids loved making flowers at different stages of the bud/bloom, I gave each their own glue stick and predrawn trunk and branches, and they took off. The LOVED holi – from jalebi to tricking their parents to the color powders- and this was a great craft to include. Thanks for posting it!
